The 56th Avenue Pump Station & Reservoir Electrical Upgrade’s Project consisted of replacing the entire switchyard with new equipment. This included removal of the old existing equipment and replacing it with state of the art S & C switchgear, new transformers, a new MCC, and a new AHU to handle the increase in equipment. There is some equipment that had to be kept running in order for the Pump House to function due to the drought conditions. Temporary was set up to ensure that Pump #2, Pump #3 and Pump #8 as well as the MCC were still operational during construction.
