This project was a design/build, 54,000 sq. ft. renovation of a 210-bed student residence hall.   The renovation included a complete gut of the existing building walls and systems.  The renovation of Arnett Hall was the first step in the process of renovation all of the buildings in the Kittredge Complex.

With this renovation, it now contains the latest in electrical systems.  Systems being installed now support more advanced technologies including a larger electrical service to accommodate the heavier electrical loads of today, hard wired high speed data cabling to each dorm room, wireless for those who want to use laptops not attached to the walls, and a system that supports cell technology for better cell reception.

The service upgrade included a new 15KV to 208/120 volt transformer, main switchboard and panels serving all loads.  Lighting was designed to provide adequate light levels using appealing yet durable fixtures.  Power was dense to serve the higher loads used by the students in their rooms and to accommodate other special needs.
