The 74-acre site at Hudson Road and 26th  Avenue northwest of Watkins, CO host public and private renewable energy entities to research new ideas and test products.  The document package for this project was entitled “Thermal Energy Storage Test (TEST) Facility Solar Technology Acceleration Center (SolarTAC) Project”.  Ludvik Electric Co. provided and installed lighting, distribution, grounding, power, systems and equipment at the Steam Generator Modules and Data Shelter area of the SolarTAC site.

SolarTAC is a private, member-based organization with sponsorship designed to provide a site for researching, demonstrating, testing, and validating a range of solar technologies at the early commercial or near-commercial state of development.  SolarTAC partnerships include federal government and private industry.  Power utility Xcel Energy and solar developers Abengoa Solar and SunEdison are founding members in SolarTac.
