DESIGN BUILD & DESIGN ASSIST

Since 1980 we have offered Design-Build project delivery to our clients even before Design-Build was the industry term it is today. We integrate with the team and provide the capabilities, resources, technical qualifications and experience to deliver projects. With our contracting experience coupled with our technical experience, we consider all project requirements and facility use in developing and evaluating the design.

Our team of engineers and estimators work closely with owners, engineers, architects, and general contractors to deliver the project earlier and more cost effective than other project delivery methods. Our Design Build & Design Assist processes along with our installation knowledge not only allows for a seamless transition from design to build ensuring constructability during the design process but also decreases construction down time waiting for a resolution and reduces quantity of conflicts found during construction using other project delivery methods.

OUR PROCESS

The company uses a variety of tools and resources to make a clients’ idea an operable facility. Some of the notable management systems used by our engineering department includes:

PRIMAVERA

As our customer we know that schedule is one of your top priorities. Industry leading
scheduling software by Primavera is the tool we use to track activities and deliverables to ensure our product is delivered on time.

ACCUBID-PRO

At Ludvik Electric we know how important it is to know the systems going into each
project. Accubid-Pro assists us in breaking down a project by system and area down to each device. This ensures each essential part of the design is included and the project will meet the customer’s needs and expectations.

MARATHON G2

From design to project close-out, we use Marathon G2 to track productivity on each
project using quantities and man hours by system and area. From Marathon we can find problem areas within the project and implement resolutions to provide a product our customer deserves.

AUTOCAD MEP & REVIT

We use Autodesk products which allows us to be more flexible and in line with all project team’s backgrounds. The intuitive software allows for a centralized design that makes it possible for multiple operators to work simultaneously creating an accurate model based on constructability, means and methods. Our process includes live metadata to create detailed bill of material schedules for prefabrication which eliminates waste.

NAVISWORKS

Through Navisworks our design team can work collaboratively with on-site crews to review model elements efficiently and effectively. Navisworks also allows the Ludvik project team to verify accuracy of electrical prefabrication packages ensuring a quality end product.

RECAP

Using laser scanning equipment, alongside ReCap, We are able to accurately document existing site conditions as well as progress in the field. This emerging technology allows for more accurate evaluation and design of prefabricated materials, as well as incorporating more accurate and cost effective changes, in a more timely manner.
